Jazz vocalist and composer Lina Nyberg releases her 25th album, Present.
Present is an avant-garde jazz reflection on the passage of time, where Lina and her chordless ensemble playfully move between joy and sorrow. Lina’s intricate compositions form the backbone of the album, providing ample space for the musicians to shine and flourish.
The band features the long-standing rhythm section of bassist Josef Kallerdahl and drummer Peter Danemo, who have played together—and with Lina—for nearly twenty years. Their almost telepathic interplay creates a solid and inspiring foundation for the ensemble, alongside trumpeter Linnea Jonsson and saxophonist Fredrik Ljungkvist, both highly respected figures on the Swedish jazz scene.

Lina Nyberg is a Swedish singer and composer. Her work has awarded her with a Swedish Grammy and she has been a hub in the Nordic jazz and improvisation scene since the early 90’ when she debuted together with pianist and Swedish icon Esbjörn Svensson.
